Book Your Dream for Books
Editor's Note
A CCNUer, an avid reader, closed his book before going to bed and quickly entered a bizarre world.
He found himself in a huge and magnificent colonnade, where a wise man approached him and whispered, "Welcome to philosophy."

The CCNUer was walking in the colonnade when he noticed a scroll scattered on the ground. When he opened it, he was sucked into the scroll, and a familiar voice rang out, "This is poetry."

While this CCNUer was reciting these poems, a mysterious force caused him to fall continuously. When he woke up, he found himself holding two books he had not finished reading: Six Chapters of A Floating Life and The Catcher in the Rye.
The Catcher in the Rye
The Catcher in the Rye follows the story of Holden Caulfield, a teenage boy who has been expelled from prep school and is wandering around New York City. Throughout the book, Holden struggles with his own identity and the hypocrisy he sees in society. He's on a quest to find truth and authenticity in a world that he perceives as phony. The book is a timeless exploration of teenage angst, alienation, and disillusionment.
Six Chapters of A Floating Life
This is a work of autobiographical literature that documents the ordinary home life, ups and downs, and travels of the author and his wife. The language is simple but the emotions are sincere, making it highly praised by literary enthusiasts and researchers.
After reading these books, the CCNUer wrote in his diary, "Histories make men wise; poets witty; the mathematics subtle; natural philosophy deep; moral grave; logic and rhetoric able to contend." Feeling as if something was missing, he continued to write, "April 23rd, Happy World Reading Day!"
